Parent Support for those feeling overwhelmed, burnt out or navigating life with a neurodivergent or strong willed child.

Support for parents who feel overwhelmed, emotionally stretched, burnt out, or unsure how to keep supporting their child while also caring for themselves. Sessions are available online across Australia and in person on Sydney's Northern Beaches.

When parenting feels relentless, heavy, or isolating.

Parenting can bring deep love and deep pressure at the same time. You may be carrying constant worry, emotional exhaustion, guilt, decision fatigue, or the sense that you are always needing to hold everything together for everyone else. If your child is anxious, struggling emotionally, or neurodivergent, the load can feel even greater.

Sometimes parents reach out because they are worried about their child. Sometimes they reach out because they are overwhelmed themselves. Often, both are true.

Counselling can offer a space to pause, feel supported, and make sense of what is happening for you as well as within your family.

Parent support may help with..

  • Parenting stress and emotional overload

  • Supporting a neurodivergent child or teen

  • Anxiety, burnout, or chronic worry

  • Guilt, self-doubt, or feeling not good enough

  • Emotional reactivity or feeling constantly stretched

  • Family tension and relationship stress

  • Advocacy fatigue and school-related stress

  • Navigating a child's diagnosis or support needs

  • Balancing your child's needs with your own wellbeing

  • Recognising your own overwhelm, sensitivity, or possible neurodivergence

A warm, supportive, and practical approach

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in both counselling and nervous system support. I draw from somatic therapy, CBT, ACT, solution-focused approaches, attachment-based understanding, and a neuroaffirming lens, depending on what feels most helpful for you.

Together, we can explore what parenting is bringing up for you emotionally, what patterns may be shaping your responses, and how stress may be showing up in your body and nervous system. This can help you move beyond simply getting through and toward feeling more steady, supported, and connected.

Counselling is not about being a perfect parent. It is about creating space for your experience, your needs, and your capacity to be supported too.
